A CONTAINER TRUCK OVERTURNS IN LAGOS, BUT NO ONE IS HURT

According to Adebayo, the container prevented entry for other cars on the bridge and totally blocked the road as it descended.

“No casualties were reported. In order to connect Funso Williams Avenue to Barracks, all vehicle traffic from Fadeyi, Onipan has been redirected through the service lane at Ojuelegba, he said.

In order to guarantee a safe and timely evacuation of the truck, he said that LASTMA officials were on the ground with equipment and actively organizing the necessary rescue and recovery actions.

“Drivers are informed that the Ojuelegba Bridge inward stadium has been temporarily closed to vehicular traffic in the interim and pending the conclusion of the evacuation,” he stated.

A train and a Toyota Hiace bus crashed on Monday night in Arena, Oshodi, Lagos, but no casualties or fatalities were reported, according to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency.

This was revealed by LASEMA in a preliminary report dated December 23, 2025, and released by Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the agency’s permanent secretary.

The agency stated that after receiving the signals, it promptly sent its reaction team to the location and triggered the state’s emergency response plan from its Cappa Base in Oshodi.
