Pastor Jerry Eze has expressed profound apologies to worshippers who were turned away from the NSPPD UK Prayer Conference at Manchester United’s Old Trafford stadium, which has a capacity of 74,000. Organized by Eze’s Streams of Joy International, the event drew a significant number of attendees from the UK and beyond, with demand outstripping available space despite free admission and pre-registration encouragement.

In a heartfelt video message, Eze addressed the disappointment of those who traveled long distances, including from Australia, North Macedonia, and Sweden, only to be unable to enter the venue. “I want to sincerely, from the depth of my heart, apologise,” Eze stated, noting that he was particularly troubled by the fact that thousands were still turned away.

Eze clarified that the situation was beyond his control and that of Streams of Joy, while recognizing the frustration shared by those affected on social media platforms. He emphasized that the event organizers have taken this incident seriously, promising that such an occurrence would not happen again in future editions of the conference.

During his discourse, Eze reiterated his sorrow multiple times, urging the community for forgiveness. He committed to learning from this experience to ensure a smoother entry process next year. The NSPPD UK Prayer Conference, held last Saturday, showcased Eze along with notable gospel ministers such as Sunmisola Agbebi, Mercy Chinwo, Dunsin Oyekan, and Kaestrings. In closing, Eze reaffirmed his regret over the situation, saying, “I am sorry again and again.”
