The command spokesperson, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, provided news reporters with this information in a statement on Monday in Akure, the state capital.

He claims that on February 11, 2026, members of the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit apprehended the suspects based on technical intelligence and reliable tracking data.
Abubakar Sindiku (M), 25, and Oliver Okoh (M), 35, were arrested in Sabo Sango, Ado Road, and Ilado Community, respectively, as a result of the tracking.
“The arrest of both individuals was related to an ongoing investigation into a state kidnapping case.
Their statements were properly recorded when they were arrested, and they are now providing the police with helpful information. The accused are members of a kidnapping syndicate, according to preliminary inquiry.
According to reports, they conducted reconnaissance on their motorcycles to learn more about possible targets.
Additionally, both suspects supported the syndicate’s logistics by giving its members meals and other operating supplies.
“The motorbikes and pertinent equipment that were utilized to support their illegal activities were found. “An investigation is underway to capture additional syndicate members and make sure they are prosecuted,” he stated.
According to the spokesperson, the state commissioner of police further assured citizens that the command was unwavering in its resolve to protect people and property across the state.
Jimoh urged the public to maintain their vigilance and to keep giving security services fast, reliable, and useful information.
