Three injured and one dead in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway

A fatal crash on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway resulted in the death of an unidentified driver and injuries to at least three others.

Omolola Odutola, a spokesman for the state police, stated that the collision involved a Toyota with registration number JJJ926YJ and a granite-loaded truck with license plate FKJ760XM.

She said that when the driver of the Toyota automobile lost control and crashed with the truck, both cars were headed from Ibadan towards Lagos.

Odutola claimed that the Toyota driver was locked in the car after the crash and that he was taken to a hospital, where attending physicians pronounced him dead.

Following his rescue from his precarious situation, he was transported to Idera Hospital located in Sagamu. Afterwards, the physician verified his demise. According to Odutola, two additional occupants in the Toyota also suffered injuries of differing severity.

Additionally, our correspondent was informed that the deceased’s body had been moved into the hospital mortuary.

Two persons lost their lives in an accident on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway’s Ibafo stretch in a related event that was reported in late July.
According to reports, an orange DAF truck with the registration number ANC711XA and a Peugeot bus with the number WRA224XA were involved in the collision.
