According to Naija Street Matters, the cleric made this known in a Facebook post on Wednesday, explaining that the initiative is entirely financed through tithes and offerings contributed by members of the church.

Chinyere detailed how the process works, stating that individuals rescued from criminal hideouts are first disarmed, with their weapons handed over to law enforcement authorities. He added that they are then taken through a structured rehabilitation programme that combines both spiritual guidance and practical development.

He explained that participants undergo both spiritual cleansing and physical rehabilitation as part of their transformation journey.

The cleric further revealed that those enrolled in the programme are baptised and officially documented by the police to ensure proper monitoring and reintegration into society.

Beyond spiritual reform, the initiative also focuses on equipping them with vocational skills to help them build a sustainable and lawful source of income.

According to him, the church’s free skills acquisition centre provides training in various trades, including furniture making, welding, electrical and electronics work, scaffolding, tailoring, ICT, and oil and gas-related skills.

Chinyere noted that the programme has been in operation for over 15 years and has been consistently funded by the church, adding that it has contributed positively to reducing crime by transforming many former offenders into productive members of society.

He emphasized that many of the youths who once engaged in criminal activities have now embraced legitimate means of livelihood.

This revelation comes amid renewed public attention on the pastor’s humanitarian efforts, including his recent involvement in arranging the marriage of a non-verbal autistic man popularly known as Aboy, as well as his announcement about facilitating the marriage of one of his adopted daughters, a 21-year-old autistic woman named Chiemeka Chibuzor.
