This was revealed in a statement released on Wednesday by SP Omolola Odutola, the state command spokesman.

According to Odutola, three Indian nationals and one Mr. Ola were among those saved by the state police command’s anti-kidnapping squad along the Ogere axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

She declared, “Along the Ogere inward Lagos Ibadan expressway, one Mr. Ola, Pujan, and two other Indians whose names are yet unknown have regained their freedom.” Arrests of the evading suspects are still being made.

Abiodun Alamutu, the Commissioner of Police, gave the anti-kidnapping unit instructions on Monday to begin a manhunt for the thugs who attacked and abducted the travelers.

According to reports, the gunmen ambushed the travelers between Ilisan Township and the Nigeria Police’s Sagamu Area Command.

Wemmy Osude, the chairman of the Ilisan Development Council, claimed that the thugs had carried a few more victims into the bush.
