Reports indicate that “The Special One” has agreed to a two-year contract with the La Liga giants, although official paperwork and final documentation are still pending.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano revealed on X on Monday that Mourinho is expected to travel to Madrid after Real Madrid’s final league game against Athletic Bilbao, where the remaining formalities will be concluded before the deal is officially announced.

According to the report, all terms between Mourinho and Real Madrid have already been verbally settled.

If the agreement is finalised, it will mark Mourinho’s second stint at the Santiago Bernabéu after his first spell from 2010 to 2013.

During his previous time with the club, Mourinho guided Real Madrid to several major trophies, including the La Liga title, Copa del Rey and the Spanish Super Cup.

Although Real Madrid have not yet released an official statement, excitement is already growing among fans over the possible return of one of football’s most celebrated managers.
