Although the specifics of the kidnapping are still unclear, sources tell Daily Trust that a raid on the school on Thursday night, November 20, 2025, resulted in the kidnapping of numerous pupils.
The incidence was confirmed to Daily Trust by a source from one of the Catholic churches in Niger State, who added that the school was still gathering its documentation.

“Yes, it is accurate, but I am unable to provide specifics. Later in the day, the church would make an official statement, he said.

However, Ahmed Abdullahi Rofia, Head of Department, Disaster and Relief, Agwara Local Government, verified the attack over the phone.

He claimed that between 2:00 and 3:00 in the morning, the terrorists assaulted the school. He added that although authorities continue their investigation, the precise number of kidnapped kids and employees is yet unknown.

Concerns about the worsening security situation at educational institutions around the region are heightened by the occurrence, which occurred just days after a similar attack in Maga, Kebbi State, where 25 students were abducted.
