This was verified to PUNCH Online on Wednesday by Benjamin Hundeyin, the state police command’s spokesperson.

The 55-year-old woman is said to have gone to the front of the chapel and started to sing hymns of thanksgiving before collapsing.

According to Hundeyin, the 55-year-old was declared dead after being brought to a hospital.
“The Zonal accountant of the Ejigbo church came to the station and reported that Ifeoma suddenly slumped during testimony hour in the church while the service was in progress. Ifeoma had come out singing songs to give her testimony,” he said.

She was taken to a neighboring hospital right away but was later sent to the General Hospital in Isolo, where it was determined that she had passed away.

Detectives were instructed to accompany the complainant to the hospital based on the report. When they arrived, they were informed that the deceased’s husband and relatives had returned her body to Anambra State, where she was originally buried.
