Thomas Partey has officially signed a free transfer with Saudi Pro League team Al-Shabab.
After his contract with Villarreal, a Spanish team where he played during the 2025–2026 season, expired, the former Arsenal midfielder joined the Saudi team.
Partey, who formerly played for Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, is starting a new chapter in his career. The Ghanaian made 130 appearances and nine goals in all competitions while he was a member of the Gunners.
Partey signed to Villarreal as a free agent after leaving Arsenal in 2025, and during his one and only season there, he made 25 appearances.
The 32-year-old, who has made a name for himself as a key member of the Ghana national squad, also has a wealth of international experience.
