This was revealed in a statement released on Wednesday by SP Ramhan Nansel, the spokesperson for the Nasarawa State Police Command.

The statement claims that the students were kidnapped on Tuesday night from Living Seed Lodge, which is situated in a forested location outside of the students’ Lafia residential community.

At approximately 9:20 p.m., the university’s Chief Security Officer reported to the command that three students had been kidnapped by unidentified armed men.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Shetima Jauro Mohammed, psc, mnips, promptly ordered the deployment of tactical teams, patrol officers, and other security personnel to the scene upon receiving the complaint.

“The agents quickly organized and started a coordinated search and rescue effort in the nearby woodland.

One of the kidnapped pupils was successfully rescued thanks to the police’s quick action.

The statement stated, “Since then, efforts have been intensified to ensure the safe rescue of the remaining two victims still in captivity and the arrest of the perpetrators.”

The commissioner ordered all of the command’s intelligence and operational resources to continue the ongoing effort until the other victims were safely evacuated.

He gave the locals his word that the police would do all in their power to apprehend the offenders.

The public was advised by the leadership to maintain composure and alertness as well as to promptly and reliably submit information that could support the ongoing operation.

Additionally, residents were instructed to notify the closest police station right away of any unusual activity or movement.
