He asserted that any operative who hesitates would be viewed as collaborating with criminals. This statement was made while introducing 62 operational vehicles and security equipment worth ₦27.127 billion, aimed at enhancing security operations in the state. Musa highlighted the importance of this intervention as part of responsible governance and strategic leadership, commending Governor Ahmed Aliyu for his consistent support for security initiatives.

Musa noted that the new armoured vehicles and tactical equipment are crucial for improving operational mobility and intelligence gathering in the fight against banditry, terrorism, and kidnapping. He stressed the necessity for security personnel to handle these assets responsibly, asserting that neglect or misuse would not be tolerated. Furthermore, he instructed officers to protect innocent citizens during security operations, insisting that they should not engage in extortion or harassment.

Governor Ahmed Aliyu, speaking at the event, described this security investment as a continuation of his administration’s commitment since taking office. He detailed the procurement of various security assets, including Buffalo Armoured Personnel Carriers (APCs), motorcycles, and a range of tactical equipment, highlighting that the state has previously invested over ₦36 billion in security measures, including the establishment of the Sokoto State Community Guard Corps and support for the Nigerian Air Force Base.

Aliyu also announced a bill aimed at implementing stricter penalties for informants who aid bandits, which is currently under consideration in the State House of Assembly. In addition, he revealed plans for a Command and Control Centre designed to improve surveillance and coordination of security efforts. The governor urged residents to continue providing credible intelligence, reinforcing the idea that public security is a collective responsibility essential for overcoming the challenges posed by banditry in the state.
