Calls for Pastor E.A. Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), to spearhead public demonstrations against Nigeria’s escalating insecurity have drawn criticism from Mike Bamiloye, founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, June 3, Bamiloye rejected the demands, calling them completely unfeasible considering the cleric’s senior age.

He underlined that Pastor Adeboye has already publicly denounced the country’s growing security issues on several occasions.

Bamiloye argues that it is absurd to expect an 84-year-old religious leader to plan and direct protests on the streets, emphasizing that the cleric’s major responsibility is still to fulfill his spiritual duty rather than engage in political activities.
