Speaking during an interview on Channels Television that began trending on Sunday, the Kaduna State governor argued that opinions expressed online do not accurately represent actual voter strength at polling units.
He made the comment while discussing the upcoming general elections and the level of support Tinubu receives on social media.
“If elections were to be decided on platforms like Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or social media in general, Asiwaju might lose. But if it comes down to voters casting ballots at polling units, he will secure about 70 percent of the votes,” Sani said.
His statement comes amid increasing political discussions ahead of 2027, as well as sustained online backing for Peter Obi, who enjoyed significant social media support before and after the 2023 presidential election.
