Minaj shared the claim on social media, suggesting she is finalising her citizenship paperwork. In the post, she praised former U.S. President Donald Trump and credited public support for the development.
The “Gold Card” is commonly used to describe a high-value investor immigration programme that typically requires a significant financial contribution to the United States, often cited at about $1 million along with additional processing fees. Such programmes have historically offered residency privileges to wealthy applicants who meet specific investment requirements.
Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Minaj moved to the United States at age five and has long held lawful permanent residency, but not U.S. citizenship.
The artist has recently voiced strong support for Trump, calling herself his “number one fan” at a public event, comments that have drawn attention amid ongoing political debate in the United States.
