Gianni Infantino, the president of FIFA, denounced “some Senegal players” for the “unacceptable scenes” that occurred during Sunday’s AFCON final, when the eventual winners left the field in protest of a penalty given to Morocco.
“We strongly condemn the actions of certain Senegalese players and technical staff members, as well as some “supporters.” “Leaving the field of play in this way is unacceptable,” Infantino told AFP in a statement.
