Monday was a poor start to the Flying Eagles’ campaign in Chile as they dominated possession but were unable to convert it into goals.

As early as the ninth minute, Norway took the lead, and Zubair’s team was unable to make the breakthrough for the rest of the match.

The goalkeeper was well outclassed in the 47th minute when Kparobo Arierhi’s left-footed attempt inside the box went just wide, and in the 63rd minute, Tahir Maigana’s left-footed attempt within the box was stopped by the base of the upright.

The supporters’ hopes of an equalizer were dashed in the 71st minute as midfielder Nasiru Salihu’s rising attempt from the right went a bit too high.
