Cardi B is adding another role to her résumé: mom of four.
The Grammy-winning rapper announced Tuesday that she’s pregnant with her first child with boyfriend Stefon Diggs, wide receiver for the New England Patriots.
The 32-year-old revealed the news in a candid conversation with Gayle King on CBS Mornings, sharing that she is due just ahead of her upcoming Little Miss Drama tour in February.
“I’ve been putting in all this work while I’m creating a baby,” Cardi said, smiling. “I’m happy. I feel like I’m in a good space.”
For Cardi, the pregnancy signals a new chapter after the end of her turbulent marriage with fellow rapper Offset, finalized last year. The former couple share three children together: Kulture, 7, Wave, 4, and Blossom, who just turned 1.
Reflecting on her relationship with Diggs, Cardi said he’s been a grounding force. “He just makes me feel safe and very confident. And it makes you feel like you could take over the world.”
Cardi and Diggs’ relationship has unfolded in the public eye.
Rumors first sparked in December 2024, when Cardi hinted she was “dating again.” By Valentine’s Day 2025, the pair were photographed together in Miami. In June, she confirmed their romance on social media with yacht-side clips. In August, she showed off a $73,000 Patek Philippe watch gifted by Diggs, calling it a “surprise.”
Their whirlwind romance has drawn attention both for its lavish displays and for the sense of stability Cardi says it has brought her.
The news comes just days before the release of Cardi’s highly anticipated album Am I The Drama? on September 19. She joked that fans now have extra incentive to stream it:
“Now y’all could buy my album so I can buy Pampers and diapers … I’m a mother of four now.”
Motherhood has always been central to Cardi’s identity. In a 2022 Vogue Singapore interview, she explained why she refused to hire outside help when her first child was born: “I couldn’t even think about getting a nanny because I was afraid of anybody being around her besides my family.”
Between an album rollout, an upcoming tour, and a growing family, Cardi B faces one of the busiest seasons of her career, but she insists she feels ready.
“I feel like me and my man are really supportive of each other,” she said. “We’re both in the same space in our careers. We’re the best at what we do.”
