“UNILAG, LASU prepared for FASU Games”

Lagos State University and the University of Lagos are set to host the 11th edition of the Federation of Africa University Sports Games, with all facilities ready for the event.

“Lagos State University and the University of Lagos are prepared for the African Universities Games,” he declared.

“I can state that the University of Lagos is ready because they have all of the equipment they used for the NUGA games two years ago. Naturally, LASU also had to make improvements to their facilities, which are excellent.

Aside from the fact that the two colleges are hosting most of it, it is a Lagos game. One of the events, a badminton match, will be hosted by the Lagos University of Education, located close to LASU.

“Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has been incredibly helpful in getting us whatever we need for the event. Everyone has been incredibly helpful, and I can confirm that Lagos is prepared for the event with all the amenities and the gaming village set.

“We’re going to have the greatest African Universities Games in Lagos in 2024, and compete, unite, and excel will be our motto there,” I can guarantee you. since Africa will see the greatest FASU games ever, and since this is the first occasion that two colleges will co-host the games.
The third FASU Games were held in Nigeria in 2004 in Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University.

Since it’s the first time two colleges have hosted together, this edition is historic.

Over 3,500 students from over 100 universities are anticipated to take part in the event, which takes place from September 20 to September 29.

Since its founding, FASU has taken place ten times: in Ghana in 1974, Kenya in 1978, Nigeria in 2004, South Africa in 2006, Uganda in 2008, Namibia in 2012, Kenya in 2014, South Africa in 2016, Ethiopia in 2018, and Kenya in 2022.
