Since joining Atalanta from RB Leipzig in 2022, Lookman, 26, has been a standout player. His most recent exploits were a hat-trick against Bayer Leverkusen in the Europa League final.

Numerous elite European teams have expressed interest in signing him due to his remarkable performance; Paris Saint-Germain and Liverpool are eager to do the same.

Nevertheless, according to Italian sources, Atalanta is standing by their assessment of the Nigerian international and has reportedly set an asking price of €70 million. Because Arsenal’s first offer is less than this amount, talks have begun over bringing Kiwior into the sale to close the difference.

The addition of Riccardo Calafiori and the return from injury of Jurrien Timber have reduced the Poland international’s playing time since he joined Arsenal in January 2023. Gian Piero Gasperini, the head coach of Atalanta, is apparently interested in Kiwior, which could lead to further negotiations.

The defender, who is apparently lobbying for a move away from Bergamo after asking to be left out of Atalanta’s most recent Serie A encounter against Lecce, is highlighted by Arsenal’s readiness to include him in the deal.

The possibility of Lookman leaving has gained a lot of attention. It has been reported that Lookman’s representatives were contacted directly by Paris Saint-Germain, who extended an attractive deal to him that more than doubled his current income.

Lookman seems to be keeping his options open despite the interest from PSG and other European powerhouses, with Arsenal suddenly emerging as a strong candidate for his signature. Lookman is a versatile option that the Gunners can use throughout the front line. They are eager to add more firepower to their roster as they attempt to fight for major trophies this season.

Given that Lookman’s contract expires in 2026, Atalanta is determined that any offer must match their valuation, despite Arsenal’s efforts to move the trade along.

Since moving to Italy, Lookman’s reputation has grown dramatically. In 79 games for Atalanta, he has scored 32 goals and made 18 assists. Al-Ittihad of Saudi Arabia has reportedly made a substantial offer of €30 million, including an annual salary of €11 million, in response to his performances. To fight at the highest level, the 26-year-old is rumored to prefer staying in Europe.
