The 25-year-old Nigerian international has been under observation by the North London club, and according to Football Insider, Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is eager to add a striker this summer.

Osimhen, who paid a record €77.5 million to join Napoli in 2020, has excelled in Serie A, especially in 2022–2023. Premier League teams have an opportunity as the striker is reportedly looking to leave the Italian powerhouses.

Chelsea and Napoli are now in active talks about a potential cash-plus-player transfer, including Romelu Lukaku. In retaliation, Tottenham is thinking of bringing in players of their own to try and sign Osimhen.

With €130 million release clause in his contract from Napoli, any possible trade for the 25-year-old would require substantial financial outlay. Whether Spurs chairman Daniel Levy will be open to making such significant expenditure is still up in the air. When Osimhen joins Tottenham, it will be declaration of intent for the team, as he might usher in new era and provide much-needed clinical output for years to come. The player’s preference for move to the Premier League is well documented, since he previously turned down big offers from the Saudi Pro League. One of Europe’s most sought-after attackers will be coveted by both Tottenham and Chelsea as the transfer story plays out.
