The gathering on Thursday may have something to do with the planned protests that are slated to take place from August 1 through August 10.

The demonstrations, which are being held under the hashtag “EndBadGovernance,” have become very popular on social media, despite the fact that the organizers are mainly unknown and no organization has taken formal credit for them.

This meeting comes after the Nigeria Governors’ Forum gathering on Wednesday night and the National Economic Council meeting that was originally slated to take place at noon on Thursday was abruptly canceled.
