It was learned that the regrettable event happened on Thursday morning in the wee hours.
Authorities from the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, or LASEMA, are reportedly conducting rescue operations at the disaster site right now.
Two people were said to have been pulled alive from the debris by LASEMA Permanent Secretary Femi Oke-Osanyitolu, who verified the occurrence.
“LASEMA and the Lagos State Fire department retrieved three adult males dead, rescued two adult males alive, and saved one adult male buried under the rubble alive.
The six men were all employed at the facility. While SEHMU has been contacted regarding the bodies of the three deceased, they are receiving pre-hospital care on site, Oke-Osanyitolu revealed.
There have reportedly been several building collapses in Lagos State and other regions of the nation.
