Chukwudi Ogbonna, a candidate for the Accord Party in the March 18 election for the Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni sin Local Government Area Constituency 2 in the Rivers State House of Assembly, has been abducted by gunmen.

On Monday night, the gunmen reportedly forced Mr. Ogbonna to halt while he was driving in Rumuigbo, close to Port Harcourt, and then took off with his car.
The candidate’s cousin brother, Ifeaka Nwakiri verified the incident to our correspondent on Tuesday morning, stating “They took him with his Mercedes car. We have informed the Karnataka Police of the situation.
