The Brazilian forward was signed by Madrid in December 2022 for an initial fee of €60 million (£51 million), which could rise to €70 million (£60 million) due to potential add-ons. After a loan spell at Lyon, where he recorded eight goals and eight assists in 21 matches, Endrick is back at the Bernabeu, now under the management of José Mourinho.

Arsenal has reportedly renewed their interest in acquiring Endrick, especially following Gabriel Martinelli’s transfer to Al-Hilal. They had previously discussed both Endrick and Vinicius Junior in negotiations with Real Madrid earlier this summer. Nonetheless, both the player and the club have decided against any transfer this summer, with Romano stating that Endrick’s position remains unchanged: he has no intention of leaving.

While Arsenal has targeted Endrick as a prime attacking addition after previously missing out on players like Morgan Rogers, Vinicius, and Bradley Barcola, recent reports indicate that he is not inclined to join Arsenal, following a similar path as his teammate Vinicius, who rejected the Gunners’ offer in favor of extending his contract with Madrid. Arsenal is also monitoring Julian Alvarez, though he has expressed a preference for Barcelona, complicating their search. As alternatives, Arsenal may explore options like Marcus Rashford, Nico Williams, and Igor Paixao, while also keeping an eye on Kenan Yildiz, who faces a lengthy recovery from injury.
