Maeurn told TMZ that although her family could not afford to take her to college, she had always wanted to become a teacher. Before the internet changed the course of her career, she later had some classroom experience by instructing Chinese students in English. She paid 1.75 million pesos for land in Cebu in 2024 with the intention of constructing a school.

Maeurn inaugurated a modest learning center in 2025, but the main school is currently being built. Children from the neighborhood can participate in science experiments, cooking classes, and other practical educational activities at the center.

At first, Maeurn intended to give the land and let the government build the school. When she discovered that she would not be able to name the school after her father, she altered her plans. In the end, she made the decision to finance and manage the building herself, transforming her aspirations for education into a project for local kids.
