After spending time with his family in London after the baby’s delivery, the 24-year-old Manchester City attacker returned to the United States on Wednesday, according to a now-viral video published by the Belgian Football Federation.

Due to a respiratory ailment, Doku was unable to play in Belgium’s goalless draw with Iran on Sunday. After receiving medical care for a few days, team physicians gave him the all-clear to travel and witness his son’s birth.

According to Belgium team physician Brahim Hacene, the winger was able to travel without any health issues and was escorted by medical personnel the entire way.
Hacene remarked, “Everything went perfectly, and the mother, father, and baby are all doing wonderfully.”

Doku’s comeback coincides with Belgium’s preparation for Saturday’s pivotal Group G matchup with New Zealand. The Red Devils need to earn all three points to keep their chances of making it to the 2026 FIFA World Cup knockout stages after drawing their first two games.
