On Wednesday, President Bola Tinubu participated in Eid prayers at Dodan Barracks in Lagos, accompanied by notable figures such as his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, Lagos State House Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, and Lagos APC gubernatorial candidate Obafemi Hamzat, among other Muslim faithful. The event was publicly acknowledged by Dada Olusegun, the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, who shared details of the prayer gathering on his social media platform.

Simultaneously, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar attended Eid prayers at the AYA Mosque in Abuja. He expressed gratitude to Allah for His blessings during the prayers. In his social media post, Atiku emphasized the importance of unity, compassion, and peace among Nigerians as the nation celebrated this significant occasion. He shared Eid greetings aimed at Muslim faithful across Nigeria and globally, wishing for the acceptance of their prayers and a call for lasting peace and prosperity within the nation.
