Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, explained that extensive security measures had been put in place to ensure a smooth and peaceful event.

According to him, the command deployed several security units, including Police Mobile Force personnel, tactical squads and EOD-CBRN operatives to strategic areas across the state capital.

He stated that the objective was to prevent any security threats and guarantee the safety of the Vice-President, the celebrant and guests attending the occasion.
