Atletico Madrid defeated 10-man Barcelona 3-2 on aggregate on Tuesday to advance to the Champions League semi-finals thanks to a goal from Ademola Lookman in the first half.

The Catalans’ early goals from Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres had tied the match on aggregate before the Nigerian international Lookman responded on behalf of Diego Simeone’s group.
After finishing the first leg with ten men, Eric Garcia’s red card eleven minutes from time presented Barca with an uphill battle, and their 2-1 victory that evening was insufficient to prevent elimination.
