The Super Eagles forward, who scored twice in the team’s 4-1 victory over Gabon, acknowledged the strain of representing both his nation and Galatasaray, but he emphasized his capacity to maintain composure and make corrections.

Osimhen stated that as a professional striker, he has learned to maintain composure despite missed opportunities in a video posted on Instagram on Thursday by sports journalist @iamcalisports.

“Sometimes I score the goal that no one believes, and sometimes I lose the one that people think I’m going to score,” he remarked. However, that doesn’t negate… I’m always thinking like this.

Osimhen scored in extra time to make up for missing two obvious opportunities in the second half. He emphasized the significance of promptly fixing errors.
“At first, I apologized to them and promised to make the necessary corrections in more time.” And I’m glad I did it.

“Kudos to the guys who gave me the assist to score those two goals,” Osimhen added, praising the team spirit and support of his teammates. I’m pleased with the team’s collective mindset.
