Onukwume’s posts on his verified X account (@theagroman) in October 2025 are the subject of the allegations, which were placed before the Federal High Court in Abuja under case number FHC/ABJ/CR/610/2025.
The DSS claims that the installations supported the military’s takeover of the nation, the suspension of the federal government, and the overthrow of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Onukwume was charged on Tuesday by DSS attorney A.M. Danalami with violating both Section 24(1)(b) of the Cybercrimes (Prohibition, Prevention, etc.) Act, 2024 (as amended) and Sections 46A(1) and 59(1) of the Criminal Code Act.

He allegedly wrote, “Tinubu has to go and APC has to die for Nigeria to have any semblance of normal life,” in another post. And I’m here to tell you that you’re an idiot if you believe that Tinubu can be removed by your foolish votes.

Later this week, Onukwume, who lives in Umusayo Layout, Oyigbo Local Government Area, Rivers State, is scheduled to be arraigned.
There were rumors in October that certain military troops were planning to topple President Bola Tinubu’s government.
However, this has infuriated Nigerians, prompting retired generals, civil society organizations, and prominent attorneys to warn against any attempt to undermine democracy.
The Defense Headquarters, meanwhile, denied the reports, claiming that there was no military plan or imprisonment connected to the coup.
