With two missed clear chances and seven Premier League games without a goal from open play—his longest streak since joining Anfield—Salah was among Liverpool’s worst players in their 2-1 loss to Manchester United on Sunday.

Liverpool’s two away games are against Brentford and Frankfurt in the Champions League. Salah shouldn’t start any of those games, in my opinion.

Since Liverpool will be in control and he usually scores in those scenarios these days, he should always start at Anfield in the box. However, I do believe that, given his current form, Salah shouldn’t be starting every game right now, especially away from home, and should instead assist your full-back in the away games.

Would he accept that? Most likely not. However, you have to realize at some point that, particularly when you’re not playing well, where’s your argument? If you’re hitting the goals and your manager makes a tactical choice that frustrates you, it’s a different story.
