In what will go down as one of the most talked-about and emotionally charged celebrity weddings of the decade, Nigerian megastar Davido and his longtime partner Chioma Rowland Ejiofor sealed their love in a celebration that merged luxury with an A-list spectacle.

The day began with a quiet moment: Davido, the multiple award-winning singer, sat for a haircut.

Afterwards, guests began trickling in under layers of discretion. Celebrated music producer Cobhams Asuquo, and Nollywood powerhouse Uche Jombo, among others were transported in sleek, chauffeured vehicles to an undisclosed venue.

The location was never revealed to the public. It was accessed only via secure, coordinated shuttles, ensuring no paparazzi or curious fans could gatecrash. The dress code was black and the IV read “No white or Cream ” and there was a strict “No band, No Access ” policy.

The groom made his own entrance in a custom-built white Lamborghini Revuelto, arranged by MJay Autos with Benny Da Jeweler while the groomsmen were chauffeured. The bride’s arrival was in a gleaming Rolls-Royce.

Davido’s cufflinks were engraved with the image of his late son Ifeanyi and served as a touching private memorial, through the day.

Sharon, Davido’s elder sister and mother of the groom, shone in a crystal-embellished gown and pictures were taken at the venue. Hailey; Davido’s second daughter was also present, however Imade Adeleke was noticeably absent at the venue.

Chioma gifted each bridesmaid an Hermès box, and in other news, Singer Teni Makanaki streamed playful updates to her Instagram followers.

Three pastors presided ; each a figure with deep personal history: The trio had officiated the marriage of Davido’s parents.

  1. Pastor Prof. Joseph Adebisi Ola: Retired president of the Seventh-Day Adventist Nigeria Union Mission.
  2. Prof. Tunde Ojewole:  Senior Pastor of the Lane Region Conference, Indianapolis.
  3. Pastor David Olubukola Ajide: Senior Pastor of Victory Sanctuary, Lagos.

In a moment of pure romance, Davido, unable to wait, rushed forward to escort Chioma himself as soon as she got close to the aisle. Governor Adeleke led a powerful praise and worship session, his voice carrying over the hall. Davido’s speech was unexpectedly vulnerable:

“I’ve been on stages around the world, none have ever made me this nervous… Chioma came into my life quietly, but became the most profound influence in my life… We have shared pain only we know… Today, I give you all of me.”

Vows were exchanged and sealed with a kiss. Chioma’s new wedding ring caught the light as she flaunted it.

During the wedding proceedings, a child cried and Chioma immediately looked around to find the source. That small gesture was a quiet testament to her natural caregiving spirit and nurturing heart. One of the day’s lighter moments came when the sermon referenced Davido’s hit song, Unavailable:

“…some ladies will sleep tonight with Davido’s picture under their pillow. But David, remember to tell them: I AM UNAVAILABLE.”

A playful couples’ quiz followed where Chioma was crowned the “prayer warrior,” Davido “the romantic,” and both of them being the “coconut heads” when it came to arguments.

Davido then unveiled his wedding gift: Red Richard Millie  valued at $300,000 (≈ ₦465 million)

If there was a guest list for the elite, this was it. The hall buzzed with personalities from politics, music, business, sports, and entertainment:

  • Chief Ikuku Michael, tech mogul and CEO of Micharry & Company, arrived with his wife.
  • Musicians like Kirk Franklin, Rubi Rose, Shenseea, producers like London on Da Track, media personalities like YesJulz (who worked for Kanye West).
  • Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State, Davido’s uncle, made a regal entrance with his second wife, adding political gravitas.
  • Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man.
  • Obi Cubana
  • Boxing champions Usyk, Kamaru Usman, and Devin Haney.
  • Afrobeats star Zlatan with his wife and many more

Even American rapper Young Thug, phoned in, sending blessings from afar.

Sharon dazzled in blue, while Chioma switched to a glittering metallic number. D’Banj welcomed them in with his timeless Fall in Love, before delivering an emotional tribute:“Davido is a vessel of hope for our generation.” They cut a towering cake, before diving into a full-scale dance floor takeover.

Chioma’s third look was a net-and-green number that matched Davido’s white-on-white ensemble. Performances rolled in: Stonebwoy brought reggae-fusion fire, Adekunle Gold serenaded with High. Even Davido performed.

Afterwards, he gave a toast, praising his family, Chioma’s relatives, and declared:

“The real after party is just about to start . To our older parents, if you’d like to stay, that’s great but I know someone who can dance all night ”

We all know he was referring to the dancing governor.

It was pure euphoria: dollars fluttered in the air, the music thundered, and Miami bore witness to a love story turned cultural milestone. Happy Married Life to the Adelekes, from all of us at Naija Street Matters.
