The suspect, who was displayed at the Delta State Police Command headquarters in Asaba, said that the unfortunate incident happened after he and his girlfriend, Excellence, got into a furious fight over his girlfriend’s involvement in “hook-up” operations, which is the local term for transactional sex.
Obakpororo admitted to consuming 200 mg of tramadol and smoking “loud,” a street term for premium cannabis, before to attacking the victim. He claimed to be involved in farming and computer fraud (“Yahoo Yahoo”).

The crime happened at Sapele between June 26 and 27, 2025, according to DSP Bright Edafe, the State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer, who was parading the suspect.
“The suspect was apprehended after initially escaping,” Edafe stated.
