At 65, the veteran Nollywood actor proudly identifies as an “incurable romantic,” emphasizing his joy in gifting his wife, as it resonates with her love language. He noted that a sincere compliment from Jumobi is the acknowledgment that significant possessions in their home were acquired by him.

RMD recounted the moment he was presented with the cheque, instructing his manager to pass it directly to Jumobi. Upon receiving it, she questioned whether the funds should be set aside for their children, to which RMD replied that it was meant for her to utilize freely. Recognizing that a substantial portion would be allocated towards their children, he expressed a desire to provide his wife with substantial gifts so that she would never feel the need to ask for anything.

His relationship with Jumobi, who he married in 2000 after the passing of his first wife, May Ellen Ezekiel, has flourished over the years, culminating in the celebration of their 25th wedding anniversary in December 2025. RMD is also a father of four, sharing two children with each of his wives.
