The children reportedly became homeless following a court-ordered eviction from Magnificient Therapy Services, a centre that had cared for them for many years.

Taking to her Instagram page on Monday, Akindele expressed sadness after seeing videos showing the children and their belongings outside the facility.

“This video was sent to me today and it truly broke my heart. Seeing children living with autism, cerebral palsy, dyslexia and other special needs stranded outside with their properties is deeply painful,” she wrote.

The actress explained that her intention was not to blame or attack anyone involved in the matter but to encourage people to help the affected children.

“This post is not meant to discredit anyone. I only want to use my platform to seek support for these children during this difficult period. I have contributed in my own little way and I appeal to everyone who can help in any way possible. No child deserves to suffer helplessly,” she stated.

Earlier reports revealed that the therapy centre was forcefully evicted after a prolonged tenancy dispute that led to court enforcement actions.

Magnificient Therapy Services, which started in 2010 with only two children in a small apartment, had gradually become a safe space for children living with autism spectrum disorder, Down syndrome, dyslexia, cerebral palsy and other developmental conditions.

Following the eviction, some orphans and children without immediate caregivers were temporarily moved into an unfinished building, while neighbours reportedly stepped in to offer temporary shelter and support.

Some parents rushed to the centre to pick up their children after hearing about the incident, although not every family had the means to do so.

Akindele further appealed to Nigerians to continue supporting the displaced children in any way they can.

“Any support at all will make a difference. If you can do more, please help them. Let’s show these children kindness, love and humanity,” she added.
