In Zamfara, a corps member slumps and dies seven days before passing out.

Ibrahim Abdulmumin Adeiza, a member of the National Youth duty Corps (NYSC), passed away in Zamfara State seven days before his mandatory one-year duty was due.

According to reports, Dr. Adeiza passed away on May 13, 2026, while working at Yarima Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau.

A friend claims that Adeiza, a doctor, went out with a coworker to buy a plastic bottle and then slumped around 1:00 pm, according to Engineer Habibu Nura. An hour later, he died.

Dr. Adeiza showed no signs of illness, according to Nura, who also mentioned that an hour prior to his death, they were together, laughing and joking.

Suleiman Isah, the Zamfara State Ministry of Health’s Information/Public Relations Officer, confirmed the occurrence in a statement on Wednesday.
