Oyedepo emphasized in the video, which was uploaded on Sunday, January 11, that the ministry’s main priorities are discipleship and preparing people to follow Jesus, not conventional financial procedures.

Regarding the ministry’s budget, Oyedepo explained that “God gave him specific instructions not to collect offerings.”

He “noted that for this specific assignment, his focus must remain solely on the spiritual development of the people,” even though he insisted that there is nothing intrinsically wrong with the practice in other ministries.

The statement was made concurrently with the start of the ministry’s Sunday Services, which would take place in Abuja every week.
Oyedepo clarified during the broadcast that his strategy is based on Jesus Christ’s early ministry.

“How healthy would our churches be if people were truly deep in the Scriptures?” he said, emphasizing that spiritual development necessitates a “consistent journey” through God’s Word.

The younger Oyedepo, who was born on February 26, 1985, formally joined his own ministry on November 28, 2023.
