Around lunchtime, the tragedy happened close to Sagamu, Ogun State’s Sinoma axis. It involved a red Sinotruck that was parked and a black Lexus SUV.
Five adult males were involved in the collision, according to the FRSC. Two of them, who were recognized as Joshua’s friends, passed away right away. Two people fled unharmed, while one was injured. According to reports, Joshua was just slightly hurt in the collision.
FRSC spokesperson Olusegun Ogungbemide stated that the corps had carried out an initial professional examination at the scene while speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels Television show. But he emphasized that the ultimate reason of the crash could only be ascertained by a comprehensive technical assessment.
He clarified that officers from the crash observatory, which is made up of seasoned safety specialists, investigated the crash scene soon after it happened and made initial judgments based on impact analysis and road layout.
“When you look at the impact of that crash, you definitely know that whoever must have been operating under the Federal Government-imposed speed limit wouldn’t have had such an impact,” he stated.
The truck involved in the collision, according to Ogungbemide, was parked on the shoulder of the road and had not been reported to have broken down there.

He said that even though no speed-measuring equipment was actively recording data at the precise location of the collision, skilled law enforcement officials could determine the likely speed based on the degree of damage and impact force.
There was no technical equipment available at the time to verify the vehicle’s speed.
The representative said, “But when you look at the impact of a crash, you should be able to know at what speed that vehicle is likely to be moving.”
The highest speed restriction on highways is 100 km/h, he continued, adding that collisions that happen within that limit are less likely to have serious repercussions.
According to Ogungbemide, “the push and the impact involving that jeep and the parked truck give you a better guess, pending the technical investigation we are looking at.”
Concerns over emergency response were also addressed by the FRSC spokesperson, who said that patrol teams reached the scene three minutes after the collision.
“That corridor where this crash occurred, we have more than five emergency ambulance points,” Ogungbemide added. “The response time was three minutes.”
Regarding Joshua’s health, Ogungbemide stated that the boxer was responsive at the scene and got help right away.
He affirmed that Shehu Mohammed, the Corps Marshal, had ordered the technical investigation to be finished and the results made public.
“The public will be contacted as soon as they finish,” he stated.
