Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, left the Peoples Democratic Party to join the ruling All Progressives Congress.

During a stakeholder meeting on Tuesday at the government house in Port Harcourt, the governor declared his defection.

This year, Fubara joined many of his coworkers who defected to the APC.
