Soludo and other Southern Nigerian governors and traditional leaders unveiled a comprehensive plan earlier on Wednesday to address regional issues and strengthen collaboration on security, economic resilience, and governance.
The Southern Governors’ Forum and the Southern Nigeria Traditional Rulers Council jointly met on Friday in Iperu, Ogun State, and adopted a multifaceted strategy aimed at bolstering stability and development throughout the region, according to a press statement released by Christian Aburime, Soludo’s press secretary.
“Stronger regional cooperation, institutional reforms, and people-centered policies are essential for building a safer and prosperous, Nigeria,” according to Aburime. Soludo, who is also the Vice Chairman of the Southern Governors’ Forum, actively participated in the discussions and later reaffirmed his state’s commitment to the collective agenda.
“A collective vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was a key outcome of the high-level deliberation,” the statement said in part. Despite the nation’s present difficulties, the leaders praised the President’s leadership and dedication to economic reforms and national stability.
“In response to persistent security threats, the forum agreed on several decisive measures. The creation of a zonal security fund to fund coordinated actions across state lines is a key component of the new security architecture.

Congratulating Soludo on his reelection, Tinubu called the outcome “an affirmation of visionary leadership” and pledged increased federal-state cooperation with Anambra.
Soludo won all 21 Local Government areas in the off-cycle poll, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
