The captain of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON), who left Spanish team Atletico de Madrid at the end of the previous season, has signed a two-year contract.

It is a great honor for me to be joining Paris Saint Germain, one of Europe’s premier clubs.

After completing the transfer, Ajibade declared, “This is a big step for me, and I’m committed to giving my all to help PSG win titles and to inspire young football players, be it those in Nigeria or elsewhere.”

As Les Parisiennes bolster their roster in an attempt to recapture the Ligue 1 Féminine crown, which they last won in 2021, the 24 year old teams up with fellow countrywoman Jennifer Echegini.

After scoring one goal and dishing up two assists to help Nigeria win a record tenth continental title, Ajibade was awarded Player of the Tournament at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
