Ukrainian Railways stated in a Telegram post that “Russian terrorists inflicted a massive strike on the railway infrastructure of Lozova.”
Four further railway personnel were injured, and one of the units’ duty mechanics was killed. Numerous trains have been rerouted, and all injured individuals are getting the medical attention they require.

According to the mayor of Lozova, residential areas were damaged and multiple people, including two children, were injured.

“Lozova has survived the most massive attack since the beginning of the war,” mayor Sergiy Zelensky stated in a Facebook post.
Two people were also wounded in a separate Russian drone attack on Zaporizhzhia, the region’s military administration said.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s air force reported that during the course of the night, air defense units in the country’s north and east shot down 29 Shahed drones manufactured in Iran.

It occurs as US President Donald Trump has given Russia a deadline to put an end to the conflict in Ukraine or face vague new penalties.  The two sides seem to be as far apart as ever after three rounds of peace negotiations in Istanbul failed to advance a potential ceasefire.

Steve Witkoff, Trump’s envoy, is scheduled to travel to Russia this week and is anticipated to meet with President Vladimir Putin.

Following an online spat with former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, Trump claimed that two nuclear submarines he had deployed were now “in the region,” which prompted the visit.
