Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has announced a new anti-corruption bill, aiming to calm rising public anger and recent street protests over alleged government mismanagement and graft.

The proposed legislation will tighten oversight of public officials, increase transparency in military spending, and expand powers for anti-corruption agencies. It comes as frustration mounts over the slow pace of reforms, especially during a time of ongoing war and foreign aid dependency.

Thousands have recently taken to the streets in cities like Kyiv and Lviv, demanding cleaner governance and more accountability from top officials. Several lawmakers and local officials are also under investigation for embezzlement and misuse of defense funds.
