Further investigation found that at a bus stop close to the Academy neighborhood in the Oluyole Local Government Area of Oyo State, a Toyota Sienna bus XLE model with registration plate JJJ 515 HZ ran over three individuals.

Upon being reached, Mayowa Odeowo, a spokesman for the Federal Road Safety Commission, stated, “No passengers on the unfortunate bus were hurt, aside from the pedestrians who lost their lives.”

Around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, there was another collision reported on the same Lagos-Ibadan expressway. There were two seriously hurt passengers, but no fatalities were reported.

A white commercial Mitsubishi Mazda with the license plate NKD 06 XG and an ash-colored private Ford with the registration number AAA 241 FY were engaged in the collision.

Six females and nine males were among the fifteen people involved in the collision, according to Odeowo. Following the immediate transfer of two individuals, one male and one female, to LAD Medical Hospital for treatment, major injuries were inflicted.Thankfully, no deaths were reported.

As a result, the FRSC spokesperson blamed speeding and loss of control for the collision, which happened in sunny, dry weather on the paved road.

The command asked drivers to stay focused and respect speed limits, cautioning that speeding remained a serious menace on Nigeria’s roadways.

The cars that were damaged have been taken over by the police.
