Police arrest a Jigawa man for stealing motorbikes, robbing animals, and fraud.

The Jigawa State Police Command confirmed the arrest of Ilyasu Munkaila, a 45-year-old fraudster, in connection with a motorbike theft and animal rustler case. Munkaila confessed to the crime and was paid N50,000 as his share of the proceeds.

According to the PPRO, the arrest is related to a report that was submitted by Alhaji Sani Muhammad, 50, of Kano State, who claimed that on July 29, 2024, at Nafara village, Birnin Kudu, Birnin Kudu, he was cheated by an unidentified person.
In addition to Munkaila’s detention, he disclosed, the police had taken two motorbikes, two sheep, and a ram from the accused.
“On August 28, 2024, at approximately 1400 hours, members of the Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Dutse arrested Ilyasu Munkaila “m,” a 45-year-old resident of Asayaya village in Kiyawa LGA, in connection with a fraud and criminal conspiracy case, based on credible intelligence.”

The suspect acknowledged committing the crime during questioning and said that he received his portion of N50,000.00k upon succeeding

The command has guaranteed that more suspects in the crime are being sought out and apprehended.

The Jigawa State Police Command has reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining public safety and fighting crime in the state.
