In three categories, the bank won: DMB with the highest impact on youth; DMB with the highest impact on women MSMEs; and the DBN Platinum Service Award, according to a statement released by the bank on Wednesday.

The top honor of the night was the DBN Platinum Service Award, which came with a N5 million award for technical support.

By recognizing and supporting financial institutions that have achieved great progress in providing capital to MSMEs, the DBN Service Ambassadors Award Ceremony promotes economic diversification and job creation.

“These awards are a testament to Sterling Bank’s unwavering commitment to empowering Nigerian entrepreneurs, particularly youth and women,” stated Edward Ogunmekan, Divisional Head of Retail & Consumer Banking at Sterling Bank, in remarks about the accomplishment.

“We think that by helping MSMEs, we are laying the groundwork for a more resilient and inclusive economy in addition to helping them thrive as businesses. We are even more inspired to step up our efforts to promote sustainable economic growth through smart financing initiatives in light of DBN’s acknowledgment.
