The MTN Foundation states that the initiative prepares young talents for the international and national arena.

In order to cultivate the next generation of musical talent in Nigeria, the foundation stated that its collaboration with MUSON would provide a comprehensive experience.

According to the MTN-MUSON Scholarship Program, students in the program would be able to receive world-class training, which would improve their musical abilities, heighten their understanding of the music business, and heighten their appreciation for the arts.

The program would boost stage confidence and showcase talent through live performances, in addition to covering all students’ tuition.

The foundation stated, “These learning experiences have been proven to help musical talents looking to thrive in the music industry.”

Over 484 alumni, according to the MTN Foundation, have reaped the benefits of the scholarship program and have grown into prominent figures in the music industry, both nationally and internationally.

To take advantage of the chance to develop their talent, build a solid foundation for their successful musical careers, and network with other young and talented musicians, it called on young Nigerian musicians with talent and a passion for success to join the program.

Since its inception in 2004, the foundation had invested approximately N29.4bn in 1,052 projects throughout the country.
