In a message published late on Monday, he stated, “For more than three months, employees of the Federal College of Education (Technical), Akoka locked out their Provost, preventing him from using his office.”

“To resolve the current standoff, a delegation assembled by the Education Minister showed up to the school today. Nevertheless, the delegation from Abuja was attacked by college employees with student assistance, resulting in damage to more than five cars and the provost’s official residence. Not satisfied, the rioting faculty, staff, and students also blocked the college’s entrances and exits. After the rioters attacked the police with stones and water sachets, they arrived on the spot and brought order back to the situation.

“In the meantime, men from Area Command, Surulere, of the Nigeria Police Force are still on the ground to ensure that the restored peace is maintained,” thirty-two individuals have been taken into custody.

However, the administration of the institution has not addressed the issue.
